Sumit Garg
Founding Partner
Sumit is a technology investor/executive with 20 years of experience in the industry. He is passionate about helping high potential software companies achieve market growth, build operational scale and gather world class teams. He is currently the Board Chairman at Netreo, and Board Member at Appsian and Escape Technologies. Sumit’s recent background includes President at Cleo Communications where he co-led a rapid transformation and 5x growth of the business in 5 years. His prior background includes executive leadership roles at SumTotal Systems; strategic finance including investment banking at GCA Savvian, and venture capital at Visa Ventures; and technical roles including Product Management and Software Engineering at Alvarion, Aperto Networks and Hughes Software Systems. Sumit holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Technology in computer science & engineering from IIT-BHU.

Aniket Kumar
Vice President
Aniket joined Software Growth Partners in October 2018 and has been assisting the firm across all functional areas, including investment opportunity evaluation, detailed due diligence and portfolio management. He is passionate about identifying and investing in high growth-potential software companies, and assisting them to scale and get to the next level. Prior to joining SGP, Aniket worked as an Associate at CSL Capital Management, a lower-middle market focused private equity firm based in Houston, and played an integral role in all phases of the transaction lifecycle. Prior to CSL, he worked for Halliburton as a principal software product engineer for four years and led product development cycles from conceptualization to taking it to market. Aniket holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in India.

Andrew Sabin
Vice President
Andrew joined Software Growth Partners in 2024 and focuses on investment analysis, due diligence execution, as well as portfolio company support. He is passionate about building alongside founders and management teams to unlock potential and drive sustainable growth. Prior to joining SGP, Andrew was a Vice President at Updata Partners, where he focused on sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in B2B software businesses. Before Updata, Andrew was an analyst on the software team at Capstone, an investment bank. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked at BlackRock in the fund of hedge funds group. Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Washington.

Devansh Goel
Portfolio Operations Associate
Devansh joined SGP as a Portfolio Operations Associate and is responsible for supporting and driving the growth of portfolio companies. Prior to SGP, Devansh worked as a Senior Associate with Sweat Equity Partners, helping in formulating strategy by working closely founders and raising funds for portfolio companies. Prior to that, he worked with ZS Associates for 3+ Years, providing sales and marketing consulting to leading pharmaceutical companies. Devansh completed his MBA from HKUST and Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from NMIMS, India.

Sreenath S
Manager, Business Development
Sreenath joined SGP as a Business Development Associate and is responsible for developing and driving proprietary deal flow for the firm. Prior to SGP, Sreenath worked at Kingfish Group helping drive due diligence support, sector research efforts and executive engagement for Kingfish and it’s private equity partner groups. Prior to that, Sreenath worked at GLG as a Client Solutions Associate and Morgan Stanley as an Analyst for 1.5 years and 1 year respectively. Sreenath has completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Honors) from NMIMS University, India.

Tushar
Business Development Analyst
Tushar joined SGP as a Business Development Analyst and is responsible for developing and driving proprietary deal flow for the firm. Prior to SGP, Tushar worked at VC Grid, an early-stage venture capital firm, where he focused on sourcing and evaluating startups and led investments from family offices. He has also gained experience working with a Web3 startup and a VC accelerator in New York, further deepening his exposure to the early-stage tech ecosystem.
Tushar founded a live-streaming commerce startup to support his family’s retail business, which sparked his passion for technology and entrepreneurship.
Tushar is a former Youth Olympian and two-time Indian National Squash Champion. He played Division 1 squash at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a degree in Economics and Consumer Psychology.
